 This book is an update of the book A Modern  History of Chinese Borders which made the authors  win China Publishing Government Award.  The author team has won China Publishing  Government Award (the highest award for , author  and publisher) with the book A Modern History of  Chinese Borders which published by SCPPH in the  year of 2010. The team has five professors: Lyu  Yiran, honored committee member from CASS,  who is the head of Research Center for Chinese  Borderland History and Geography and mainly  researches on northern China's borderland history.  Liu Yongshu, researcher from CASS, mainly  researches on Hong Kong history. Chen Zaizheng,  Zhang Wenqi, Lu Jinzhi, from Xiamen University.
